FIELD: positions for monitoring stations, lifesaving services, sea health resorts or recreation bases, comfortable area for living in ocean. SUBSTANCE: underwater sail is connected to underwater portion of floating island by means of ropes whose angle of attack may be changed both in horizontal and vertical planes. One end of ropes is connected over perimeter of sail and other end is passed through center of drag of underwater portion of island. Sail is provided with float and weight.
