FIELD: metallurgy; methods of a steel deoxidation.
SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the field of metallurgy, in particular, to the methods of a steel deoxidation. The cake for a steel deoxidation is produced by a compaction method of an aluminum scrap and fragments of an alloy based on iron at the following components ratio (in mass %): an aluminum scrap - (25-32), the fragments of an alloy based on iron - (68-75). The density of the cake makes of no less than 0.9 from the density of the melted steel. In the capacity of an aluminum scrap the cake may contain aluminum tin cans. And as fragments of an alloy based on iron - a crushed steel and-or cast-iron scrap. The cake may be made in the form of an ellipsoid of revolution with a maximum size of 50 mm or in the form of a cylinder with a diameter of 191-199 mm and from 70 up to 165 mm in height. The invention allows to reduce the prime cost of a cake due to ease of manufacture and utilization of the aluminum and iron-containing waste, to improve the quality of a steel due to increasing a share of the aluminum interacting with the steel, its factor of assimilation and an uniform distribution in a volume of a melted steel.
EFFECT: the invention ensures reduction of the prime cost of a cake, improvement of a steel quality, an increase of its factor of assimilation, an uniform distribution of the cake in a volume of a melted steel.
