FIELD: metallurgy, in particular ferroalloy and addition alloy for desulfuration and alloying of melt metal, as well as deoxidation of steel and recrement.
SUBSTANCE: claimed composite material comprises aluminum-containing fusible matrix component and iron-based alloy as refractory reinforcing component in mass ratio of matrix and reinforcing components from 20/80 to 50/50. Fusible matrix component represents aluminum and magnesium alloy containing (mass %): magnesium 10-80 and aluminum 20-90. Method of present invention makes it possible to increase aluminum and magnesium recovery in liquid steel by 30-50 %.
EFFECT: steel of improved quality due to increased stability of deoxidation and desulfuration processes.
