FIELD: drying equipment, applicable in food, medical, pharmaceutical and chemical branches of industry.
SUBSTANCE: the method for drying of materials for food and pharmaceutical industries includes their freezing and sublimation. Prior to freezing, the materials are dehydrated by microwave radiation at a temperature not exceeding the critical one for the material to be dried, after sublimation the material gets dry by microwave radiation under vacuum to the preset moisture content, the whole drying process is conducted in a drying apparatus.
EFFECT: reduced power consumption, accelerated process of drying and enhanced quality of dried materials.
