FIELD: facilities for continuous vacuum drying of materials. SUBSTANCE: plant has vertical drying chamber 1 wherein microwave energy is supplied, handled material charger 5 mounted above chamber 1, and dried-out product removal device placed under chamber. Drying chamber 1 is essentially waveguide vacuum-treated through perforated walls with microwave energy admitted from top part and excess microwave energy trap at bottom. Material is charged into chamber 1 through flow-control jet 6. Plant is provided with dried material pulverizer mounted at bottom of chamber 1. Chamber bottom part 8 filled with running water and separated with radio-transparent diaphragm 9 from other parts functions as excess microwave energy trap. Pulverizer has radio- transparent toothed rotor 12 revolving in case abutting chamber. Material admitted through jet to vacuum-treated chamber is foamed rather slowly so that it easily falls in the form of foamed cord in chamber, continuously heated to boiling temperature by standing- wave energy, dry cord is pulverized by revolving rotor teeth, and pulverized dry product is discharged from pulverizer case. EFFECT: improved design. 4 cl, 1 dwg
