GAS FLOW MEASURING RESTRICTION Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

Abstract RU 2259540 C1

FIELD: measurement technology.

SUBSTANCE: restriction has case closed with cap. The cap has holes for removing pressure and central hole for gas transporting. Holder with diaphragm made of stainless steel is mounted inside the case in slit-shaped groove. Diaphragm has calibrated orifice, which is aligned in central hole of case. Diaphragm is made in form of truncated cone or in form of convex curved surface. Vertex of cone or convexity of curved surface are both directed to meet gas flow. Cone angle or curvatures of convex surface are chosen in such a way that force generated by drop in gas pressure was able to provide buckling of diaphragm till flat state.

EFFECT: improved precision of measurement.
