Abstract RU 2259611 C1

FIELD: electrophysics; accelerating devices of vehicles, solid state and high energy physics.

SUBSTANCE: proposed superhigh-power pulsed magnet has cylindrical metal insert and auxiliary superconducting solenoid coaxially disposed relative to the latter with its leads connected to adjustable emf source. Connected in parallel with them are controlled superconductor switch, circuit set up of series-connected capacitor bank and commutator, and conducting cylinder accommodating cylindrical metal insert; capacitor bank is connected through its positive terminal to conducting cylinder and through negative one, to commutator whose other terminal is connected to cylindrical metal insert. Bottom ends of cylindrical metal insert and conducting cylinder are tightly sealed in dielectric ring slots. Space between inner wall of conducting cylinder and outer wall of metal insert is filled with liquid.

EFFECT: enhanced efficiency.
