FIELD: blasting operations.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ice-making, in particular, to a device used in underwater blasting operations in order to free the water surface from ice jams and gluttons formed in winter-spring time. Before being immersed in water, a capacitor bank is charged from a power source. Device for opening ice cover immersed in water is fixed under ice with the help of a float chamber and a clutch unit. Water through the perforated wall fills the upper compartment. Then the firing system triggers and initiates the blasting of the capsule. Blast wave and explosion products of the capsule "pierce" the second metal plate and the dielectric plate, thereby closing the first and second plates. Thus, the managed commutator is triggered. Capacitor bank is discharged to the spark gap between the first and second electrodes and an electric discharge occurs between them in water that fills the upper compartment. Blast wave and hydrodynamic currents are created, caused by the pulsation of the vapor-gas cavity, which, through practically incompressible water, are transmitted to the ice, causing its destruction.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the safety level in the process of operation.
