FIELD: mining, particularly for coal excavation and roof control during flat-lying bed mining.
SUBSTANCE: method involves remaining coal ply after mining machine passage; cutting the coal ply during mechanized support movement. Coal ply length is equal to mechanized support width and distance between coal plies is equal to gap between support sections.
EFFECT: increased quality of coal and reduced necessary force for coal ply cutting along face length during mechanized support movement towards production face.
