Abstract RU 2260188 C1

FIELD: automobile electronic instrument engineering.

SUBSTANCE: contact-free speed detector measures angular velocity (frequency of rotation) of ferromagnetic toothed rotor. Integral magneto-resisitive circuit KML16/1 Philips is used as sensitive element symmetrical mounting which circuit is provided physically in relation to preset diametrical axis of rotor. To match to external circuits of signal processing in automobile speed detector, the pulse signal frequency dividing circuit is used. Increase in working air gap, widening of working frequency range for measuring speeds which are being practically close to zero speed, high-temperature stability and noise immunity of output signal of automobile speed detector are provided due to main properties of magneto-resistive effect which has high sensitivity (about 20 mV/kA/m which is 10 times higher than value of Hall effect). Optimal operation characteristics are achieved at combined application with proposed physical and circuit means.
