FIELD: railway transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to auxiliary railway equipment, particularly, to method of revealing and indicating overheating of parts and units of railway vehicle bogies. Using infra-red scanner shots of wheels, axle boxes ands frames of bogies of passing train are taken. Degree of axle box heating is analyzed and decision is taken whether it is in serviceable condition or not. Degree of heating of frame and wheel is analyzed and decision is taken whether wheel or frame is cracked on not.

EFFECT: improved accuracy and reliability of diagnosing condition of units of wheel bogie.
