FIELD: monitoring systems.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automated means of inspecting trains and cars. System includes U-shaped bearing structure, on which there are television cameras, thermal imaging cameras, scanning laser range finders, installed on rails pressure sensors, PC with monitor, controller for automatic identification of inventory numbers of cars, controller for overheating of bogie elements, controller for overheating of heat-resistant insert of current collector, controller for evaluation of data of pressure sensors, which includes unit for recording information on pressure of wheel on each sensor, wheel pair overload unit, cargo critical load shifting unit, wheelset faults unit, system also includes critical wear controller of heat-resistant insert of current collector, comprising in-series connected image selection units, recording television images, recognizing the image of the refractory insert, measuring the length and height of the refractory insert, determining the ratio of length and height of the refractory insert and a comparison unit. Communication of all functional units with PC is realized through multiport board.
