FIELD: devices a methods of production of optical fibers with a coating.

SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to a device and a method of production of optical fibers with coatings. For production of an optical fiber with a coating possessing a heightened slickness of the surface of a resinous coating, which can be painted by color ink with a high productivity of painting. The method includes the stages of production of the optical fiber with coating, on which manufacture an optical fiber with coating by forming an outer layer of the coating around an optical fiber without a coating. The optical fiber with a coating is reeled through rollers on a take-up spool. At that a roughness of a surface of each solid body, with which the outer layer of the drawn optical fiber with a coating gets in touch makes 0.8 microns or less. When the temperature of the outer layer of the coating is equal to the room temperature or the modulus of elasticity of the outer layer of the coating exceeds 500 MPa, the roughness of the surface of each solid body, with which the outer layer of the optical fiber with a coating touches makes 1.2 microns or less. The technical purpose of the invention is formation of a fiber with an average roughness of the surface of no more than 0.2 microns for the subsequent painting.

EFFECT: the invention ensures formation of a fiber with coating of an average roughness of its surface suitable for the subsequent painting and a high productivity of painting.
