FIELD: optical fiber production.
SUBSTANCE: UV-curable composition of resin for coating optical fiber contains urethane-(meth)acrylate oligomer, monomer and photopolymerization initiator, wherein monomer contains nitrogen-containing monomer in the amount less than or equal to 15 wt.% per the total amount of the composition of resin. Polarity indicator ET(30) of the composition of resin that is from 47 to 61 is determined by dissolving betaine dye in the composition of resin, measuring a wavelength in absorption maximum λmax, [nm], and calculating ET(30) from the following expression: ET(30)=28591/λmax.
EFFECT: charge accumulation on optical fiber is suppressed, and rate of occurrence of incorrect winding during winding is reduced.
