FIELD: radio engineering; radars, communications engineering, and radio measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes generation of signal quadrature with respect to that being modulated, shaping of secondary cosine- and sine-wave modulating signals proportional to sine and cosine waves from modulating signal, multiplication of pairs of signal being modulated and that quadrature with respect to the latter by secondary cosine- and sine-wave modulating signals, and summing of products of their multiplication. Proposed angle modulation device has two balanced modulators, phase shifter, adder, and secondary modulating signal generator.
EFFECT: ability of producing random phase deviation values in absence of parasitic amplitude modulation and nonlinear distortions.
