FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves cutting aponeurosis around hernial defect with circular incision. Posterior sheath walls are detached from direct muscles through the incision. The posterior sheath wall is cut near the abdominal midline where both walls coalesce. The detachment is done higher and lower relative to the hernial defect, forming pockets in preperitoneal space higher and lower relative to the hernial defect at a distance of 3-4 cm. Lateral implant edges are arranged between the direct muscles and posterior sheath walls, the upper and lower edges being placed into the formed pockets in the preperitoneal space. The implant is fixed with aponeurosis incision concurrently sutured using single row of interrupted sutures. Implant shaped as incision around hernial defect is cut out in particular case with its size being 3-4 cm longer in all directions.
EFFECT: reduced tissue tension in surgical intervention area; reduced risk of injuries.
