FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method involves estimating bactericide activity of semen. Semen sample is incubated with test culture suspension taken in 1x1020 (test sample) concentration at 37° C during 30 min, comparing it to control samples. The reaction is stopped by diluting one case and two control samples. Control sample No 1 is the nutrition broth with no test culture and semen sample. Control sample No 2 is the nutrition broth with test culture without semen. Optical density is determined in all samples and percentage of survived microbes is determined from formula BAS=(C-(A+B))x100, where BAS is the bactericide activity of semen in %. A is the optical density in control sample No1. B is the optical density in control sample No2. C is the optical density in case sample. BAS growth when compared to an initial value is interpreted in terms of therapy effectiveness.

EFFECT: high sensitivity and accuracy of the method; simplified method.
