FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to urology, and can be used for prediction of recurrent chronic bacterial prostatitis (CBP). Method for prediction of recurrent chronic bacterial prostatitis involves laboratory examination of blood and prostate secretion, wherein patient's blood serum is examined for total testosterone, prostate secretion is determined by IL-6 and, if the level of IL-6 in prostate secretion is higher than 17 pg/ml and total testosterone level is lower than 14 nmol/l, recurrence of the disease is predicted for 12 months.

EFFECT: invention provides more accurate prediction of recurrence of CBP by detecting disorders of immunological and hormonal links of pathogenesis of disease in patients with CBP, which enables to select a reasonable and more effective therapeutic approach to the patient, using immunoactive and hormonal therapy and reduce the number of recurrences.
