FIELD: metallurgy; continuous casting machines.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for reciprocating spring-type mould of billet continuous casting machine. Proposed mechanism has support frame mounted on base. Two cassettes arranged at opposite sides of mould are connected to support frame. Each cassette is provided with its frame with secured upper pack of spring and lower pack of spring. Rocking fastening unit is installed inside each frame of cassette over lower pack of springs. Said unit accommodates hydraulic cylinder and spring compressors secured on cassette frame. Piston rod of each hydraulic cylinder is slacklessly connected to upper parts of spring pack in at least two points. Packs of springs can made up of two longitudinal parts installed with clearance relative to each other. Ends of each part of spring pack are rigidly secured on cassette frame and are furnished with tensioners.

EFFECT: improved accuracy of reciprocation of mould relative to theoretical trajectory of movement, simplified design of mechanism, reduced labor input at servicing.
