FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: mechanism for rocking mold includes base, rocking table in cantilevers of which mold is mounted. Table is coupled with base by means of suspension unit with leaf spring system. In upper step of suspension there is one leaf spring; in lower step of suspension there are two leaf springs. Lengthwise axes of leaf springs are directed towards curvature center of machine. Leaf spring system forms statically determined force link of base and table of mold. Leaf springs are tightened by means of spacing springs. In order to stabilize table in cross and angular directions, equalizer is provided. Invention provides kinematic accuracy of mold motion along predetermined path.
EFFECT: lowered number of flaws on ingot surface, reduced number of outbursts, enhanced operational reliability of machine, increased casting speed.
