FIELD: polymer materials.

SUBSTANCE: invention provides fluorocarbon polymer comprising (i) repeating units originated from one or several perfluorinated ethers of general formula I: CF₂=CFO-(CF₂)m-[O(CF₂)p]n-OR_f ¹, where R_f ¹ represents perfluorinated C₁-C₄-alkyl group, m=1-4, n=0-6, and p=1-2; (ii) repeating units originated from vinylidene difluoride; and (iii) optionally sufficient number of crosslinking-active groups provided by one or several compounds of general formulas (1) CX₂=CX(Z), where X is H or F and Z is Br, U, or R_f ²U, in which U is Br, I, or CN, and R_f ² bivalent perfluorinated bridge group optionally containing O atoms; and (2) Y(CF₂)_qY, where Y is Be or I and q=1-6. Vitrification temperature of polymer is 50°C or below and oxygen-to-carbon ratio at least about 0.2. Invention also discloses polymer elastomer, an article, and a method for preparing polymer elastomer.

EFFECT: improved performance characteristics, in particular low-temperature flexibility.
