FIELD: processes and equipment for working, preferably by grinding elongated parts.
SUBSTANCE: machine tool includes casing unit for receiving worked semi-finished blank. In cross section size of said blank is significantly less than length of blank measured along its lengthwise axis. Semi-finished product is placed in working position in such a way that its lengthwise axis is arranged along working axis. Apparatus includes clamping members arranged near large number of cross section of semi-finished product for fixing blank in working position; tool designed for working surfaces of semi-finished product; first supporting unit for rotating blank around axis; second supporting unit designed for rotating first supporting unit with blank around additional axis. Said supporting units are restricted by means of pair of flanges mutually joined through pair of struts having guides for sliding clamping member on them. Clamping member includes clamps, locking member fixed to guides; cross beam with hooks on its ends; drive tie rod that may slide along axis of beam body. Said tie rod may be joined with rocking lever or it may have inclined faces for controlling friction pads. Method comprises steps of placing part in working position and simultaneously placing part in charging position and extracting ready part out of discharging position. Working and additional axes around which supporting units are rotated are arranged vertically.
EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of equipment, reduced time period for working parts.
