FIELD: radiolocation.

SUBSTANCE: method is based on tracking lateness of signal reflected by target and discontinuous change of period of pulses repeat during multiple probing of target. Method is different by recording value of periods of emitted repeat signals Ti and error ranges εi during each i-numbered probing of target, calculation for N last probing attempts of correlation coefficient KN between values of error signals εi and period differences (Ti - Ti-1), comparison of value of correlation coefficient KN with predetermined threshold value and if absolute value of KN exceeds threshold, and in accordance to sign of KN, calculated extrapolated value of whole number of emitted pulses repeat periods is decreased or increased for one unit, aforementioned pulses being contained in value of lateness time of signal reflected by target, and cyclic repeat of all operations during following target probing attempts.

EFFECT: higher precision.
