FIELD: brewing industry, in particular, methods and equipment for processing of starch-containing material.
SUBSTANCE: method involves producing starch-containing grain suspension in water; grinding said suspension in grinder and dispersing; separating resultant shell from grain; grinding grain into smaller fragments; destructing at least partly cellular walls of fragments; transporting dispersion into catching vessel. Apparatus has grinding and dispersing device for starch-containing grain. Grinding and dispersing device is made in the form of pin-type mill comprising at least one stator with at least one row of circumferentially arranged pins, and at least one rotor with at least one row of circumferentially arranged pins, inlet opening and discharge opening.
EFFECT: increased yield of fermented extracts.
