FIELD: road cleaning in winter.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for cleaning roads in winter, particularly to working members for ripping and chipping snow-and-ice coating on road pavements. Proposed device includes working member in form of drive shaft with horizontal axle of rotation, ice chippers and follower secured on drive shaft over spiral line. Drive shaft is made in form of milling drum with cutters rigidly secured along spiral lines in opposite direction, with tilting of cutters to longitudinal axis of milling drum at angle of 20-30 degrees, and to cross axis, at angle of 12-15 degrees. Cutters are made of hard alloy steel with angle of working part of cutter equal to 55-60 degrees, and follower is made of two steel disks, 2.5-3 mm thick, with conical angle of working part, installed after milling drum.

EFFECT: improved quality of road cleaning owing to prevention of misses at ripping of machined surface and prevention of damage to road pavement, provision of reliable and easy-to-operate working member.
