FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to road construction. Milling unit consists of, in compliance with first and second versions, wheeled frame, body of carrier with shaft supporting the pinions with cutting elements (1). Said pinions are uniformly distributed over carrier drum while pin of every pinion is turned relative to carrier shaft through the angle other than zero in projection on appropriate plane, tangential to carrier drum. Pinions with cutting elements (1) are arranged in symmetry about their bearings. In compliance with first version, added is the platform with supports arranged over the frame lengthwise and crosswise axes. Platform lengthwise supports rest on the frame while crosswise supports support the drum. Angle transducer and motor engaged via amplifying converter are additionally arranged in platform rotation axis. In compliance with second version, extra row of pinions with cutting elements (1) is arranged to make a herringbone configuration with initial pinions.
EFFECT: longer service life, higher reliability and efficiency.
