FISH PASS Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

Abstract RU 2263180 C1

FIELD: hydraulic structures, particularly fish passes adapted for passing brood fishes through support structures to spawning and growth areas.

SUBSTANCE: fish pass has working chambers defined by several partitions connected to false bottom. Upper part of false bottom faces upper pool and connected to horizontal axis of rotation. Lower end part thereof is obliquely connected to transversal partition to provide hydraulic control in fish pass by lifting false bottom with transversal partition connected thereto. The partition is of segmented type so drive may move lower part thereof in vertical direction relative side walls of bottom recess. In accordance to the second embodiment false bottom center is supported by horizontal axis of rotation, which provides quick change location of segmented partitions formed on lower and upper end parts of false bottom.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of hydraulic conditions for fish passing into upper pool.
