FIELD: measuring engineering.
SUBSTANCE: fluid level meter comprises measuring rod provided handle and thrust journal and measuring device that has the float made of a hollow torus of controllable density and locking L-shaped plates. In the working position, the float moves along the measuring rod only in one direction: from the thrust journal to the handle. When rising the measuring rod, the float is locked at a level of the interface between the fluids of different density.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability.
