FLOWING DISH PROVIDED WITH RECESS FOR POLARIMETRIC TESTING OF OPTICALLY ACTIVE MATTERS Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

Abstract RU 2263303 C1

FIELD: engineering physics.

SUBSTANCE: dish is fixed onto vertical cap of horizontal recess. There is horizontal through hole in case of dish; the hole is closed at both sides with protective glass windows. There are to dead-end sloped channels disposed lower and higher than through hole. Axial lines of channels are inclined relatively axis of through hole at angle of φ=20 °(3,5Dint/L+1). Edges of dish are polished. The edges are perpendicular to axis of through hole and are provided with protrusions with diameter of Do and protrusions with thread with diameter of Dth>Do. Axial lines of inclined channels cross generator of through hole at distance of H=0,5 (d+4) mm relatively edges. Case of dish is provided with two additional horizontal channels disposed at the same side of the dish lower and higher than through hole. Horizontal channels meet inclined channels. Input and output unions are threaded into horizontal channels. Thickness of glass of protective windows B=0,05Dint, where φ is angle of slope of channels, Dint is internal diameter of through hole, L is length of through hole, Do is diameter of protective windows, Dth is diameter of thread of recess for coupling nuts, H is distance between axial line of inclined channel and edge of dish along generator of through hole. D is diameter of inclined and horizontal channels; B is thickness of glass of protective windows. Case can be made of neutral plastic. Through hole has diameter of Do and glass tube having external diameter of Do and internal diameter of Dint is fixed inside through hole. There are holes in tube made in opposition to inclined channels.

EFFECT: improved working parameters of dish; reduced mechanical stress onto glasses of protective windows.
