SUBSTANCE: proposed wireless mobile communication system has base station subsystem incorporating at least one base-station transceiver that communicates through radio link interface with plurality of mobile stations operating in compliance with set of various protocol standards. Mobile stations include at least one first mobile station operating in compliance with first protocol standard (IS-95) and at least one second mobile station operating in compliance with second protocol standard (GSM). Base station subsystem has page call/access manager that routes call through network in compliance with protocol for each call between base station subsystem and one of mobile stations. In this way IS-95 protocols are supported while using at the same time hybrid cellular communication network of GSM-CDMA protocol standard.
