FIELD: communications engineering. SUBSTANCE: control message sent to radio-communication-line control /radio-access control medium for deallocating random- access channels is transferred to listening mobile stations from base-station subsystem and incorporates air flow identifier which is recognized by listening mobile stations. The latter respond by terminating transmissions including burst switching in identified random-access channels. Radio-communication-line control/radio- access control message also identifies number of time intervals for random-access channels which should be used prior to deallocation. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of air interface application for data transmission and voice communications. 12 cl, 2 dwg, 1 tbl
