FIELD: manufacture of titanium samples for non-destruction flaw detection having artificial flaws, mainly flat-bottom deflectors of ultrasound with wide diameter range of flat bottom of flaw-simulating opening.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of performing diffusion welding in condition of heating and omnidirectional compression; using blank of two mutually joined cylindrical parts with flat ends and flaw-simulating non-through opening open to zone of butt; using cylindrical parts with flanges at side of butt; before welding sealing joining zone of parts; after welding process removing annular protrusion of flange joint and bottom portion of part with opening in order to open said opening to surface of reference sample.

EFFECT: enhanced quality of samples due to lowered three-dimension deformation and reduced geometry distortion of artificial flaw.
