FIELD: nondestructive testing.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises exciting forced oscillation in the article, changing the frequency of the forced oscillation until the resonance oscillation occurs, measuring the parameters of the resonance oscillation, and indicating defects from the resonance oscillations. The article undergoes additional vibration whose frequency changes until the resonance oscillation occurs. The article is allowed to stand for a time sufficient to the elimination of residual stress. The parameters of the resonance oscillation are then measured. The presence of defects is judged by the results of the measurements.
EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of testing.
