FIELD: electric engineering.
SUBSTANCE: device for detecting short-circuit ground of excitation winding has detector made in form of resistor, attenuation circuit, source which supplies reference signal to detector and attenuation circuit. The attenuation circuit is connected with outputs of excitation winding. Device also has voltage-controlled oscillation generator which provides measurement of voltage difference at ends of detector, and logic control unit made for coordination of process of measurement data collection and calculation of estimation value of short-circuit ground as well as data on location of short circuit.
EFFECT: proper operation at any short circuits; improved sensitivity.
