FIELD: restoration of worn parts, mainly over-spring beams and lateral frames of carriages of railway road freight cars.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of preliminarily loading part by bending it; controlling loading effort; realizing electric arc surfacing of worn surface at loading part; subjecting part to natural cooling in air and to mechanical working. Part is loaded at preliminarily determining yield limit of metal and respective load of it. After cooling in air part is subjected to additional loading by bending at soaking. Load value is sufficient for creating compression stresses in critical zones of surfaced part where hazard of occurring breakage is the most.
EFFECT: increased value of fatigue strength and useful life period of parts.
