FIELD: fiber-optic communication lines.
SUBSTANCE: in the middle of portion of multi-mode fiber-optic communication line a mode multiplexer and mode demultiplexer are enabled, via which mode composition of optical emission, coming from output of multi-mode fiber-optic communication line of first half of portion, is divided on group of lower order modes and higher order modes, selected by mode demultiplexer group of higher order modes is transformed to group of lower order modes, and mode-converter selected lower order modes group is transformed to higher order modes group, after that these two modes groups are combined by mode multiplexer and sent to input of multi-mode fiber-optic line of second half of portion.
EFFECT: increased possible length of multi-mode fiber-optic communication line with increased bandwidth.
