FIELD: fish industry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves determining average weight of one fish of each object before settling in tank and at the end of growing period; determining basic number of main object fishes and additionally determining feed coefficient, amount of produced detritus and coefficient of assimilability by tilapia; determining optimal amount of tilapia from formula:
where T is amount of tilapia, pcs; Wt is average weight of main object at the end of growing period, g; Wo is average weight of main object during settling, g; n is basic amount of specimens of main object, pcs; F is feed coefficient; D detritus production coefficient; A is coefficient of assimilability of detritus by tilapia; WTt is average weight of tilapia at the end of growing period, g; WTo is average weight of tilapia during settling, g. Moreover, basic average weight of tilapia must be below basic average weight of main object of growing by at least two times.
EFFECT: increased fish yield of fish tanks in joint growing of various kinds of fish in mixed culture including tilapia.
