FIELD: chemical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to application of finely divided particles (nano-particles) of metal and carboxylates to improve characteristics of heat transfer of liquid heat carriers and antifreeze refrigerating agents. Carboxylates form stable physically fixed or chemisorbed carboxylate protective layer over metallic nano-particles, which does not impede heat transfer.
EFFECT: achieved excellent corrosion protection, improved heat transfer, and increased stability of finely divided particles in suspension.
