FIELD: working materials by cutting, built-up cutting tools.
SUBSTANCE: milling cutter includes body having at least one first seat for tip and at least one second seat for tip. Seats are identical and they are arranged symmetrically relative to axis of body. Milling cutter also includes first and second identical cutting tips. Each tip has straight end cutting edge, angular cutting edge and straight peripheral cutting edge. In order to improve efficiency end cutting edges of both tips are arranged identically in axial and radial directions. End cutting edges of both tips pass at least till rotation center embracing rotation axis and restricted by inner cutting edges of cutting tips or by inner cutting tip adjoined without gap at least to one cutting tip. Upper sides of cutting tips are arranged practically in parallel and they mutually shifted.
EFFECT: improved design, enhanced efficiency of milling cutter.
