FIELD: mechanical engineering . SUBSTANCE: milling-boring tool is mounted for rotation and axial translation in circle trajectory around the hole axis. The tool has front cutting edges placed on cutting plate for making an opening for thread. The end face cutting edges adjoin internal lateral cutting edges from one side and external cutting edges from another side. The internal lateral cutting edges are defined a V-shaped surface facing inward. There are transitions between front and external cutting edges. The end face cutting edges are dulled by short straight cutting edges and both side cutting edges are divided by at least one lateral cutting edge inclined to the respective plane into cutting and non-cutting parts. Both parts of the end face cutting edges are perpendicular to the tool axis and shifted to each other. EFFECT: improved design. 10 cl, 21 dwg
