FIELD: railway transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to design of traction-power of ballast cleaners and other machines. According to first version, traction-power section contains frame with body, diesel engine and generator over which discharge hatch is located, cooling device, brake compressor, fuel tank, body ventilation system, engine compartment air cleaners, air intake ports arranged in rear part of generator and diesel engine and additional discharge hatch arranged over cooling device made in form of radiator bank. Discharge hatches are installed at distance equal to at least height of section of air intake ports from exhaust manifolds of diesel engine and cooling device. Summary area of sections of discharge hatches is at least half of area of section of one of air intake ports, cooling device with fan being arranged opposite to brake compressor and fuel tank. According to second version, traction-power section contains frame with body, diesel engine and generator on intermediate frame, cooling device over which discharge hatch is located, and air cleaners of diesel engine compartment. Cooling device is made is form of self-contained radiator bank, being connected with air duct. Body is provided with air intake ports with fitted-on air cleaners of diesel engine compartment found in rear part of generator and diesel engine and additional discharge hatch arranged over brake compressor. Discharge hatch of diesel engine compartment is arranged at distance equal to at least height of section of air intake ports, and summary area of section of discharge hatch is not less than half of area of section of one of air intake ports. Brake compressor and fuel tank are arranged after generator and diesel engine.

EFFECT: increased reliability and efficiency, reduced mass and overall dimensions.
