FIELD: railway engineering; tie tampers.
SUBSTANCE: proposed tie-tamping unit contains bed frame, tampers connected with bed frame by levers, vibrodrive connected through connecting rods with tamper levers. Said connecting rods are essentially tamper compress-release hydraulic cylinders. Upper levers are connected with connecting rods, and middle parts of levers are connected with bed frame by means of support axles, spacer bushings, taper roller bearings and covers. Holes are made in cover and lever. Holes in cover are arranged over perimeter of outer surface of cover. Ratio of distance between holes in cover and lever is 3:1 to get clearance between cover and taper roller bearing equal to value of temperature expansion of parts in joint. Stop with holes is provided. Holes in stop correspond to holes in cover and lever at ratio of distances between holes being 4:1 for displacing the holes to be registered with holes in lever relative to axis of stop angle α.
EFFECT: simplified design, improved reliability of operation of tamping unit, facilitated assembling owing to improved tightness of articulated joint and replacement of bulky parts with compact ones.
