FIELD: production of transformable upholstered furniture.

SUBSTANCE: furniture has casing with back and seat with rigid base, extendable cushion with rigid base, transforming mechanism fixed on sides of bases of extendable cushion and seat. When furniture is in sitting position, extendable cushion is located in space between rear wall of casing and back, and seat, whose rear part is partly positioned under back, is located on guides. When furniture is in lying position, seat is forced to forward position, extendable cushion is positioned between back and seat, and its surface defines, in conjunction with seat surface, a single horizontal surface for lying.

EFFECT: enhanced reliability in operation and increased comfort.
