FIELD: foundry.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of making multi-layer ceramic mold by preparing suspension due to mixing melt glass with aqueous solution of ammonium chloride and pulverized quartz; applying prepared suspension layer by layer onto investment patterns and sprinkling quartz sand onto each layer of refractory coating; adding oil to first layer of refractory coating for hydro-mechanical and hydraulic displacement type transmissions; beginning from second layer adding to refractory coating 0.01 - 0.03 mass % of extrusion starch reagent; curing each layer in solution of ammonium chloride; then melting patterns in hot water; baking molds and pouring metal into them.
EFFECT: improved strength of ceramic molds due to adding starch reagent after melting patterns and after baking molds.
