FIELD: large-size deployable reflectors of space antennas.
SUBSTANCE: proposed reflector has force ring in the form of enclosed-ring pantograph mechanism with telescopic posts, and radial supporting members uniformly disposed over circle, each made in the form of hinged joints of pins forming pantograph mechanism. Radial members are joined on one end with central section of reflector and on other end, with respective telescopic post of force ring, their curvature fitting that of reflecting surface in plane of this member. Member forming effective surface is made in the form of spatial net structure assembled of two nets braced together by means of flexible members. One of nets is used as supporting net secured over periphery on telescopic posts of force ring and on hinged joints of radial supporting member pins; other one functions as contouring net with triangular meshes and is secured over periphery on extension rods installed on telescopic posts of force ring; it is braced together with opposing members of supporting net at nodal point of meshes with aid of flexible bracing members. Radio-reflecting member is mounted on contouring net at its convex end that precisely follows geometry of contouring net meshes in open position.
EFFECT: minimized packing height of reflectors in transport position.
