FIELD: space engineering; space-developable reflector design.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method for assembling reflectors includes assembly of reflector power ring followed by formation of its top network and its fixation on power ring, whereupon vertical bracing threads are formed first on reflector top network, then bottom part of reflector is formed and secured on power ring; after that cross-linked network curtain is positioned relative to reflector bottom network and secured in position relative to cross-link points of reflector bottom network; bottom and top networks of reflector are then braced together with aid of bracing threads. Process facility designed to form reflecting surface has base and telescopic components for shaping curvilinear reflector surface. Base is made in the form of prefabricated auxiliary floor that has sections of two types made in the form of rectangles of similar geometrical dimensions disposed in staggered manner. Particular disposition of sections of first and second types is specified. Surfaces of these sections bear seats spaced apart through distances depending on section sizes found from equations given in invention specification. Seats are used to receive telescopic components whose top points form geometric location of points related to reflecting surface of device.
EFFECT: enlarged range of reflector type varieties manufactured by same facility thereby making it possible to use universal method for assembling space reflectors of this type.
