WORKING ULTRASONIC TOOL Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: ultrasonic technique, namely development of ultrasonic tools used for deformation hardening and relaxation working of surfaces.

SUBSTANCE: oscillation rate transformer incorporated to acoustic system of tool is rigidly joined with cylindrical extending wave guide whose length is multiple to λ/2 where λ - length of longitudinal wave in material of wave guide. In node part of wave guide there is turning for placing balls with possibility of rotation around their axes; said balls are used for supporting walls of sleeve. Motion of sleeve along wave guide to side of rod arrangement is limited by level of balls arrangement. Extending wave guide is also joined with oscillation rate transformer through threaded joint and it is made of hardened steel. Cooling system has tank provided with means for supply and discharge of cooling liquid; tank is mounted in node portion of transformer by means of nut.

EFFECT: increased useful life period of tool, lowered time period for working object.
