FIELD: manufacture of composite materials based on thermoplastic matrix and used in mechanical engineering for producing of friction parts and units.
SUBSTANCE: method involves treating carbon graphite filament with 1-2%-solution of fluorine-containing oligomer with molar weight of 2000-5000, or "Epilam" for 5-10 min, followed by thermal processing at temperature of 373±5 K for 0.5-1.0 hour or in corona discharge field at voltage of 10-40 kV for 1-5 min.
EFFECT: increased strength and tribotechnical characteristics of composite materials based on thermoplastic matrix and carbon fillers.
