SUBSTANCE: invention relates to composition for preparing composite material for stuffing box seals based on graphite containing hydrophobizing agent. The latter is composed of paraffin-fluorine-containing oligomer mixture and further contains reinforcement component, namely small-size particles of naturally occurring silicates so that composite material is made up of, wt %: paraffin 1.0-3.0, fluorine-containing oligomer 0.1-0.5, silicate particles 0.1-10, and graphite to 100%.

EFFECT: improved physico-mechanical characteristics of composite material and thereby increased resistance of sealed articles to operational and transportation factors.
