FIELD: measuring mechanical vibrations.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises irradiating the mechanism by radio pulses with a given wavelength, recording reflected radio pulses after their interaction with the members of the mechanism, and analyzing the pulses. The device comprises the source of radio pulses, aerial for irradiating the mechanism to be tested, receiver of reflected radio pulses connected with the aerial, unit for determining diagnostics parameters of the received signal, and unit for comparing the parameters obtained with their threshold values. The device is additionally provided with the converting unit whose input is connected with the output of the receiver and output is connected with the input of the unit for determining diagnostics parameters.
